I have lived in Campbellford just about my entire adult life. It's a small sleepy town nestled on either side of the Trent Severn River.
Being a water lover - enjoying swimming, kayaking and canoeing, I discovered stand up paddleboard or "SUP" as they are commonly called.
It was love immediately.
Being on the water, but just a bit above, gives you a totally new perspective.
Not only did it engage both upper and lower body while paddling, the view down into the water without the reflection which so often happens when you are sitting in a kayak, changes. Everything.
Suddenly fish and beautiful plant life came clearly into view. Loons, turtles, fish swim under the paddleboard.
It is magical.
I loved it so much, I bought my own board and go out on it with my little Bichon Willow. We've paddled together on different rivers and lakes.
Fast forward to my love of yoga and the paddleboard. How to bring them together.
This winter I enrolled in my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) and immediately went to a Paddle into Fitness SUP Yoga Instructor and SUP Yoga Teacher training in Toronto.
I will bring a unique experience to your yoga practice by taking onto the water.
